It is extremely inevitable according to scientific researchers, paediatricians, obstetricians and other medical professionals who have knowledge in pregnancy.<span id="more-131"></span></p>
<p>During pregnancy, gaining weight is definitely needed in a woman. Her body experiences hormonal change levels that increase her desire for food. It is also important to increase weight during pregnancy for of the nutrients that both the mother needs to stay strong and for the baby to grow fully. Food and nutrients actually helps the mother protect her back part from the belly which grows heavier every month. Thus, weight gain pregnancy is so important during the first stages of conception for it is aiding the mother to get used to the foremost changes happening in her body.</p>
<p>However, gaining too much weight in the latter stages of pregnancy can also be a problem. There is a possibility that this can result to diabetes mellitus, an illness that means there is excessive sugar in the blood due to the huge amounts of starches and other sugar that came from other food sources.</p>
<p>Still, it is a must to consult with your ob-gyne as soon as you can in order to see if gaining weight can be significant to you or not. The ob-gyne can say how much weight you should have to gain during your pregnancy; effects of it on your optimal health and your baby’s; kinds of foods that you are allowed and not allowed to eat; easier, less stressful and painful steps to make your pregnancy easier while you gain weight, and tips on getting rid of the weight you have gained. This ensures proper monitoring will be given. Thus, a healthier pregnancy will occur if the consultation is continuous and monitored with enough information and guidance that you call for.</p>
<p>A woman’s ideal weight during her pregnancy depends on her height and current weight or in other words, the total body mass index of her body. The right calculation will determine the weight that needs to be achieved during her pregnancy. As for the women who are slightly overweight, they should at least increase 10 to 15 pounds. Women who are underweight, on the other hand, have to gain at least 20 to 40 pounds to ensure their readiness in being pregnant. It is vital to reach these measurements to test if your body can really supply enough nutrients that your child needs while inside your body. Moreover, the weight gain should also depend on the kind of pregnancy that the woman has.</p>
<p>These measurements only lie for single pregnancies only. Those women, who have double, triple or quadruple pregnancies should undergo a test to be able to ensure that the babies will get the similar amount of nutrients like the others.</p>
